In Season 1, Episode 2 of Still Standing, Jonny Harris went to the town of Coleman, Alberta. I talked with Lisa Sygutek and learned that he actually went to a bunch of towns in that episode that are all part of The Municipality of Crowsnest Pass. The Frank Slide took place near the town of Frank, and there are several other towns included.
Lisa helped me see how the towns integrate, and how several different immigrant groups formed the area.
We also talked about he coal that helped form Coleman, and what the future might hold in that area.
